Enjoy our innovative Southern comfort food while enjoying live music and entertainment comprising the “Juke Joint” – an old-school Southern music hall.

Owner and Manager George Reilly founded The Twisted Tail in 2011, based on his life experiences and passions: blues, bourbon, and Southern hospitality.

George can be seen daily greeting and welcoming guests into his restaurant, but may also be found behind the bar crafting next season’s innovative cocktails.

Andrew “Andy” Tessier

Growing up in Vermont, Andrew “Andy” Tessier began cooking in high school as a means of making a little extra bit of cash while he pursued his original passion of hardcore and punk rock music.  Unexpectedly, he developed a love for cooking and spent the next few years working in various kitchens throughout Vermont, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  Determined to take his skills to the next level, Andy joined renowned Chef Daniel Boulud’s restaurant group and spent the next few years honing his skills at Daniel’s DBGB Kitchen & Bar and Boulud Sud.

He returned to Philadelphia three years ago to join Chef Josh Lawler as sous chef and then Chef de Cuisine at Philadelphia’s highly acclaimed The Farm and Fisherman, helping to further develop the restaurant’s New American and “farm-to-table” cuisine.  He later joined former DBGB colleague Chef Eli Collins at Pub & Kitchen and now turns his focus to The Twisted Tail where his menu will reflect the best of progressive New American cuisine and fine dining technique – through flavorful and approachable food.
